Who We Are

EPS Investing is an independent advisory firm working with businesses when important decisions need to be made, a new plan needs to be implemented or existing operations need to be improved.

EPS combines investment and commercial judgement, an understanding of economics and policy, management and business experience, legal insight, trusted local relationships and practical coordination. This foundation enables us to consider an issue from multiple perspectives while remaining focused on the decision to be made and the result to be achieved.

We do not approach an assignment as an analysis detached from business reality. Options are considered in the context of strategy, finance, markets, people, implementation capability and the practical constraints facing the business.

EPS operates with a lean team model. Advisory, analytical, project-management and specialist resources are organised around the practical requirements of each assignment.

How EPS Creates Value

Reach the right people. Assess in depth. Coordinate effectively.

EPS begins by clarifying objectives, building an evidence base and identifying the issues that genuinely need to be resolved. Recommendations are grounded in verifiable information, professional judgement and direct engagement with relevant parties.

Advisory value does not end with a report. When a business decides to act, EPS can continue to support planning, engagement with the right parties, follow-up on agreed actions and resource coordination to maintain momentum.

EPS is prepared to recommend proceeding, adjusting the approach or stopping, based on the evidence and the client’s interests. The scope, deliverables, responsibilities and fee structure are agreed before work begins.

Who We Work With

EPS works with businesses considering an investment decision, business expansion or performance improvement in Vietnam.

The need may involve assessing an opportunity, project, asset, location or partner; organising a working visit; providing local representation and coordination; or resolving bottlenecks in finance, operations, organisation, processes and management mechanisms.

EPS is best suited to businesses with clear objectives, an identified decision-maker and the resources required to assess and advance viable options.

EPS’s Role

Businesses may begin with a short assignment to clarify objectives, assess the situation and identify available options. Once the direction is clearer, EPS may continue to support a defined scope or work alongside the business during implementation.

Depending on the assignment, EPS may act as an advisor, a point of coordination, a local representative in Vietnam or work alongside the client’s internal team and external specialists. The scope of authority, responsibilities and fee structure are agreed before work begins.

Working Principles

Each assignment is organised around a defined scope, a reliable evidence base and clear responsibilities between the parties.

  • Independent assessment: Evaluate the opportunity or issue against the client’s objectives and interests without presuming a particular outcome.
  • Verifiable evidence: Distinguish confirmed information, professional assessment and assumptions that still need to be tested.
  • End-to-end accountability: Maintain continuity in assessment, client communication and the handling of material issues.
  • Clear scope and accountability: Define the deliverables, each party’s role, milestones and working arrangements before execution.

When an assignment requires deep technical or sector expertise, EPS coordinates suitable specialists and defines each party’s role within the agreed scope of work.

Experience Behind the EPS Team

Across previous investment, finance, legal, governance and advisory roles, EPS advisors have participated in more than 50 transactions and projects in Vietnam with a cumulative value of over USD 2 billion. Their experience also includes negotiating a USD 185 million EPC contract and related financing arrangements for a hydropower project in Laos.

The team brings hands-on experience in management, restructuring and performance improvement through previous roles as CFO, CEO, Chair and Board Member. This background enables EPS to understand the connections between finance, operations, decision-making mechanisms and execution capability.

EPS advisors also participated in the Vietnam–Finland Innovation Partnership Programme, working directly with Finnish companies as they assessed opportunities in Vietnam, explored potential businesses and partners, engaged relevant stakeholders and advanced practical implementation steps.
