Investment Advisory
EPS Investing supports investors and businesses in identifying, assessing and advancing investment, market entry or business expansion opportunities in Vietnam.
From Objectives to Informed Decisions
Investing, entering the market or expanding in Vietnam requires more than a market report or a list of contacts. Clients need to define the right objectives, screen the available options, understand material risks and organise the work through a practical path forward.
These decisions need to be built on verifiable information, direct engagement with relevant parties and a practical understanding of how the Vietnamese market operates.
EPS combines investment and commercial judgment, economic and policy insight, trusted local networks and hands-on coordination to support clients in making informed decisions and advancing viable options.

Scope of Support
Clients may engage EPS at any stage. The scope is defined around the issues that need to be addressed at that point.
1. Clarify Objectives and Criteria
EPS translates the client’s objective into focused questions, assessment criteria and a clear scope of work. This establishes which options should be considered and which information needs to be verified.
2. Identify and Screen
EPS identifies and screens projects, assets, locations, businesses, commercial partners, operating partners and other relevant options. Candidates that do not meet the criteria or lack sufficient credibility are removed early.
3. Assess Opportunities and Risks
EPS assesses strategic fit, investment and commercial logic, the capabilities of relevant parties, financial and legal considerations, implementation conditions and material risks. Where specialist due diligence is required, EPS coordinates the appropriate expertise.
4. Engage and Verify
EPS reaches the right people, engages directly with relevant parties, verifies information and tests key assumptions. The findings support the client in deciding whether to proceed, adjust the approach or discontinue an option.
5. Investment and Market Visits
EPS designs the working programme, arranges meetings and site visits, and supports local transport, accommodation, interpretation and other necessary logistics so that clients can use their time in Vietnam effectively.
6. Local Representation and Coordination
When the client does not yet require a full team in Vietnam, EPS may serve as its local representative and point of coordination: maintaining engagement with relevant parties, attending meetings, following up commitments, coordinating the work and reporting matters that require a decision. The scope of authority, responsibilities and fees are agreed for each assignment.
Who We Work With
EPS works with investors and businesses seeking or assessing projects, assets, locations, companies, partners and other investment opportunities, as well as those preparing to enter the market, establish a presence or expand operations in Vietnam.
EPS is best suited to clients with a clear objective, an accountable decision-maker and appropriate resources to advance the work. The scope, expected outputs, responsibilities, timeline and fee structure are agreed before each assignment begins.
How EPS Delivers an Assignment
- Frame the assignment: Translate the client’s objective into a defined scope, assessment criteria, priority questions and expected outputs.
- Build the information base: Combine research, investment and commercial analysis, verifiable information and practical market understanding.
- Test in the market: Engage directly with relevant parties to verify information and test key assumptions.
- Recommend and advance the next step: Compare the options, determine whether to proceed, adjust or stop, and define the required actions, responsibilities and milestones.
The team is organised around the scope of each assignment. The lead advisor is responsible for advisory quality and the client relationship; the project manager controls progress; analysts build the information base and decision materials; and legal, commercial, sector or implementation specialists are engaged when required.

Relevant Experience
Investment and Project Coordination
Across previous investment, finance, legal, corporate leadership and advisory roles, EPS advisors have participated in more than 50 transactions and projects in Vietnam with a cumulative value of over USD 2 billion. Their experience also includes negotiating a USD 185 million EPC contract and related financing arrangements for a hydropower project in Laos.
Supporting Market Entry in Vietnam
EPS advisors participated in the Vietnam–Finland Innovation Partnership Programme, supporting Finnish companies in understanding the market, screening local partners and developing practical pathways to establish a presence in Vietnam.
These experiences enable EPS to connect analysis with practical execution and assess an opportunity through its investment logic, commercial potential, the quality of relevant parties and the conditions required for implementation in Vietnam.
